Bates Nursery and Garden Center

We are so lucky this legendary nursery is so close. From flowering shrubs to trees and from a plethora of flowers, ornamentals, and herbs to a variety of compost, they always have a great seasonal selection, plenty of knowledgable staff on hand, and offer sustainable options at a decent value. Their newsletter is also relevant and they don’t clutter your inbox. Highly recommend if you haven’t been here already!

This place is phenomenal! An enormous nursery / gardening center with everything you could possibly want, and they are healthy and well potted from seedlings to full-grown. It's well organized with signs and row numbers and plenty of knowledgeable employees eager to help you out. And even though they are always ALWAYS busy, there's ample paved parking and flat carts easily accessible.

Was blown away by how nice Bates was. They have a ton of options. A lot of native varieties you can tell they really care about the plants that they offer. They all look healthy and every one of the staff members was extremely helpful and friendly will be back again, high recommend to anyone.

Awesome experience. Staff was great with knowledge of where plants were located and growth rate! Prices were reasonable given their size. Multiple size options for each plant.
